While not the most satisfying if you prefer a big wrap up or even a difficult climb to the top its still plenty of fun for those who enjoy simply basking in the atmosphere of the games or exploring all the game worlds at once. They are all very basic but they are really only meant to give you a reason to roam around and explore, while building up money to improve your gear and weapons to go even further North, or fight bigger groups of enemies. Some are simply killing some mutants in an area, while others require you cross half the map to kill someone or collect something. There are plenty of small missions, quests or jobs as you prefer to do various tasks that can take you all across the maps.

Unlike any STALKER game short of, to some degree, Call of Pripyat, you can roam the Zone as a random, no name Stalker of any faction in the games, and even some new ones cut from the games! To top it off it leaves a basic summation of the first games story as an option, but the main appeal is simply the sandbox aspects. It combines all the maps, factions and anomalies of every mod into one, package.

Call of Chernobyl is the barebones form of the more recently popular Anomaly mod.
